Designed with simplicity in mind, the Kindle Fire is Amazon's foray into the tablet market and arguably the most popular 7-inch tablet on the market. It has a full-color, touch screen device running the Android operating system. Similar to other tablet devices such as the iPad, but with a much smaller price tag. Another selling point is that the Kindle Fire has over 1000 illustrated children's books, including favorites like Brown Bear, Curious George, and Circus Ship so there is an additional "kid-friendly" component. The new Kindle HD models for 2012-13 also have upgraded resolutions, faster processors, and dual wi-fi antennas, giving new models a dramatic decrease in Internet browsing page upload time. Amazon also has the largest online book collection on the Internet, as well as a large assortment of free classical books.
